KANTEN, A CULTURE HOUSE
The Culture House is set out as a telling of its own content. A geological museum and cinema. Light and rock. The façade covering is made of hardened, sandblasted glass. In daylight the glass catches the skylight and interprets the blue and green shades. The limestone is in focus, as soon as you arrive, and makes the link to the main material: The white concrete that alternates between smooth and rough surfaces. The proposal from Boldsen & Holm Architects was amongst the projects, in the jury report, of the final round.
