First of all, the concept of developing the new cemetery fence is to create a visually exiting change between Sundby Cemetery an “The Green Link”, secondly to create an eventful background for the activities taking place in the new urban space, which is being developed alongside. The new cemetery fence has therefore been designed in proportions, materials and colours creating its own monumental expression with horizontal and vertical waving motions. Each fence module is designed using identical concave and convex curves in a yellow green colour, which as a motif are repeated, creating a long wave. They will be fitted to ochre-red wrought iron columns placed alternately on the inside and the outside. The top of each wrought iron column are completed with a lamp made from polished stainless steel. They change direction from column to column, so that the light can be seen from both the urban space and the cemetery.
